A: Yes, the society will assist patients in finding a physician. There are more than 320 active physicians on our membership roster!

Q: Can the society help me find past medical records?
A: The society assists patients in finding their medical records, so long as their physician is or has been a member of our society and we are able to locate the physician or their partners.

Q: Can the society help me if I have a complaint about my doctor?
A: Yes, the society has a Mediation Committee which will try to assist the physicians who are members of the society and patients to amicablly resolve minor mis-understandings.

Q: What other services does the society offer?
A: The Peoria Medical Society offers many services to the physician members and patients, but one of the most useful and unknown services is the Credentialing Service. The Peoria Medical Society researches and provides a written verification of all training, fellowships and affiliations of all physicians and advanced practice providers for all three area hospitals. Not only does this service assist the hospitals in deciding who will be allowed to provide care in their facilities, but it also insures the validity of the credentials of health care professionals for our the patients in our area.
