The Peoria Medical Society was organized in 1848 and is the oldest
continuous county medical society in Illinois. Its outstanding achievement
has been its aid and real benefit to the development of organized
medicine in this state and in the mid-west.
The Peoria Medical Society received its charter from the Illinois
State Medical Society in 1903 and has continued to be of great benefit
to the entire community. It has earned and maintained a high level
of respect from the medical profession and the community.
A competent and professional staff oversee the Peoria Medical Society's
operation in a modest headquarters office in Northwest Peoria. The
Society is larger and more sophisticated than it used to be, but
it's basic purpose has not changed.
Organization
Peoria Medical Society is structured so that the greatest number
of people can have a voice in its affairs; yet provisions have been
made for swift action, continuity, and accountability. If you have
suggestions and/or comments, please feel free to contact us by sending
an e-mail or calling the
Peoria Medical Society.
